Voice Actor Hirotaka Suzuoki Dies
Most well known to anime fans as the voice of Noa Bright (commander of the White Base warshship) in Mobile Suit Gundam, Japanese seiyuu Hirotaka Suzuoki has died in Japan on August 6th of Lung Cancer, he was 56 years old. The voice actor enjoyed a long relationship with the frasnchise a Noa Bright is the only original Mobile Suit Gundam character who appears throughout sequels Zeta Gundam, Double Zeta and survives the events of Char's Counterattack. He is also one of the few reoccurring characters to have a major role in nearly every single installment of the Super Robot Wars video game series. Other noteable roles in anime include Tenshin-han in Dragon Ball, Lynn Kaifun in Macross, Tatewaki Kuno in Ranma 1/2 and Hajime Saitou in Rurouni Kenshin.
